Eight more amateurs try to prove to judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace that they have the potential to be the 2017 MasterChef Champion. This year sees the introduction of the all new MasterChef market, which is stocked full of amazing produce from all around the world as well as a selection of meat and fish. The first challenge is to invent and cook one dish using what is available in the market. On offer today are poussin, lamb rack and duck breast as well as mussels, prawns and crab. They have one hour and twenty minutes to dazzle the judges and prove they are good enough to stay in the competition. The stakes are high in this round and it's important to choose wisely as, after tasting all eight dishes, John and Gregg must decide which five cooks are good enough to stay, while three of the cooks will be sent home. The five remaining cooks now have one more challenge standing between them and a quarter-final place. They have to cook an impressive menu that will excite not just John and Gregg but also some very special guests. Some of MasterChef's most inspiring winners and finalists return to judge the food of this year's new contenders. In this heat the contestants must attempt to impress the finalists from 2016 - Emma Spitzer, Tony Rodd and champion Simon Wood. After the five hopefuls have cooked, John and Gregg will choose which contestants have what it takes to go through to the quarter-final.
21:00-22:00 brand new series.1/3.Galapagos.(Series 1).(Cauldron of Life).Liz Bonnin joins a scientific team aboard the research vessel the Alucia on an expedition across the Galapagos Island. The journey begins on the Galapagos' west side at the youngest and most volcanically active islands in the archipelago, Isabela and Fernandina, which are home to a richly diverse wildlife scene. Here, Liz and the team journey into the clouds above Wolf, the tallest volcano in the Galapagos, where they join a group of biologists hunting for the elusive pink iguana, which teeters on the edge of extinction. But how and why did it come to live on the top of a volcano? Back on the research vessel, Liz boards Alucia's Triton submersible to descend a kilometre into the ocean abyss in search of a new species hiding in the darkness. Liz also travels to one of the most remote locations in the Galapagos, Alcedo Volcano, in search of the largest population of giant tortoises. Plagued by drought in recent months, scientists are keen to find out how this prehistoric species has fared. Finally, Liz helps out with a groundbreaking science experiment to x-ray marine iguanas that have so far stunned the scientific community with a new mutation. As with all life on these remote islands, the key to survival is adaptation.

23:00-00:00 brand new series.2/6.Shop Well for Less.(Series 2).Alex and Steph head to north London to meet sales manager Kevin and estate agent Yolanda. This shopping-obsessed couple are out of control but are desperate to save some money for their upcoming wedding.
Having recently lost 16 stone between them, new-found confidence has led to a shopping obsession, with each of them buying new clothes to flatter their new frames. With four rooms overflowing with clothes, shoes and accessories, Yolanda can't keep track of what she owns, and her love of shopping means she just keeps adding to her ever-growing collection. To show them the error of their ways, Alex and Steph go into their house and use their possessions to stock a pop-up shop. Yolanda and Kevin can't believe their eyes when they walk in and find their clothes, shoes, accessories and toiletries out on display. When they are confronted with the breakdown of how much they already own and how much they have spent, they are left shocked.Alex and Steph set up their experiment, swapping Kevin and Yolanda's usual products for unbranded substitutes to show where they can spend less - but not all the products have been changed. Will they be able to spot the difference? To really put Yolanda to the test, none of her clothes have been swapped. Instead, Alex has put together a capsule wardrobe for the week - all from Yolanda's existing wardrobes. It is time for Yolanda to get creative! Kevin's usual designer shirts and jeans have been replaced with money-saving alternatives, but will he know the difference? Professor Avi Shankar talks about how we make our purchases our own and why it is important to go through this ritual. Alex visits British lingerie brand Rigby and Peller to find out what we should be looking for when it comes to bras. A group of gym bunnies put four razors to the test to find out which gives them the cleanest shave. At the end of the experiment, have Yolanda and Kevin seen the error of their ways, and are they prepared to make the changes needed to save for their wedding?
